Reginald George Warren Martin was born on 25th June 1887. He was a member of the Catford Lacrosse Club and was selected to play for the UK in the 1908 Olympic Games. There were only 2 countries represented - Canada and the UK, South Africa having withdrawn. The game took place at the Stadium on Saturday, October 24th and was won by the Canadian team - 14 goals to 10. Lacrosse was an official Olympic sport at the 1904 and 1908 Games only. Reginald Martin died in 1981.
