Alfred Fentiman was born on 4th October 1867 in Lewisham. He partnered Howard, Lord de Walden in the 1908 London Olympics. He was also a pioneer racing cyclist in the early 1890's, competing in the English Championships and setting at least one national record for the mile. A dentist by profession, he died in February 1943.
